BOOKINGS are not taken at Turon, we have over a kilometre of great camping along the river and we know guests prefer to pick their own 'spot' over an allocated one.
ON ARRIVAL. Before setting up your camp please call into the Managers house and leave your rego number and payment, you do need a current car window sticker.
PICK YOUR FAVORITE camp site anywhere from the Managers house to the back gate. There are 2 separate fields.
OUR ROAD is a two-wheel drive road, graded regularly, just remember it is a bush road and care should be taken. If you do have a campervan or caravan we recommend you do have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for control, our camping ground is down in a valley and there is a descent to it.
HOT WATER showers and toilets are available
CAMP FIRES are allowed unless there is a fireban in place. There are rock formations around the camping area, just bring a grill plate preferably on legs.
FIREWOOD is in plentiful supply – on your way into Turon
there are many fallen trees and branches, please just help
yourself to anything on the ground.
DRINKING WATER is always available at Turon – our water
is mountain water, fresh and plentiful.
ICE AND FOOD SUPPLIES can be bought at Capertee, just before
the Turon Gates Road turnoff.
