OUR CHANGES & PROTOCOLS IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-VIRUS

Our greatest priority is that our guests and team members feel safe and secure. We would like to give you an update on what we are doing to ensure you remain safe and healthy.
Turon’s cabins and glamping tents are spread over 6000 acres so there is plenty of room to roam and not come within personal distance of others.
It is the perfect place to leave the concerns of the world behind. Simply come visit in your own car with your own food and enjoy your self-contained glamping tent or cabin in pristine Australian bushland.
There is no need for any interaction with anybody else – just relax – bushwalk, read a book or sit in front of a log fire with a glass of wine and people you love – you can even catch up on your work (we do have cabins that have mobile coverage and/or wifi – we just don’t recommend it).

When you come to Turon Gates you can be assured that our staff are following the most stringent cleaning, cleanliness and safe distance protocols as recommended by both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 
In addition to our usual stringent cleaning practice, we have put in place additional steps to keep guests and team members safe.

  • increased cleaning frequency of key shared areas

  • our cleaning team wear masks and surgical gloves and clean thoroughly with hospital grade disinfectant

  • special attention will be paid to all high touch areas.

  • additional cleaning services for the camping amenities.

  • disinfectant spray and antibacterial hand wash in all accommodation and camping bathrooms – we ask that you use it on entry and exit every time for your safety and the safety of others.

  • All team members will test themselves daily for temperatures.

  • We will maintain safe distance of 2 metres from you. All staff interactions will be conducted in open air. Please ensure you maintain safe distance from all others while at Turon Gates. You are welcome to come to the manager's area – simply press the white door chime and we will meet you in the annexe area. 

 

  • Disinfectant dishwasher liquid, disinfectant spray and antibacterial hand wash have been placed in all glamping and log cabin accommodation.

  • All books, magazines, games, DVDs have been removed – please bring your entertainment.

  • Hot water bottles have been removed.

  • We have removed all condiments, coffee, tea bags etc for your safety, however, should you happen to forget to bring any of these items, we would be happy to provide to you.

  • Massages will not be available.

  • We will still be conducting horse riding however there will be no shared rides. It will be your party and an instructor – all saddles and helmets will be sprayed with disinfectant between every ride. We ask that you use the hand sanitiser at the stables on arrival and departure. Our staff will wear masks and gloves while assisting you. 

Given the exceptional circumstances we currently face, we are offering extra flexibility and support for all bookings made directly through Turon Gates and will offer penalty-free change of date, subject to availability.
